All the below info is how Fenix says he structures his cities. Retyped a bit from his original messages to me LOL. Seems we all have typonese in this league :x
1. General City (1st city)
A General first city, one of everything. I have more than one stable so I can build ponies (equites) quick. Generally for a new player you would want to worship Juno. I sometimes worship Jupiter in hopes I get a Lucretius poem off the wheel but there's a (good) chance that won't happen. So generally Juno for me. Some people will worship Minerva in first but I think that's more for experienced players.
2. War City
Here is a war city Now this is where things can be different depending on your playing style. Once I get next expand I would add two more stables and another barracks. You could have much more than that. You would only need 10 cottages to get your level 10 expansion. I'm just lazy and hate transporting res so how u build is up to you.
Make sure you worship Minerva in this or it will be a useless war city. Also if you make less cottages, setting your tax lower than 20 will give you more pop. As some people say, it is there to make troops not res. I like my production though so to each his own.
Also, a war city is best place for new POT heroes to grow, as they will get exp from builds and also troop builds so they will lvl up twice as fast.
3. Resource City
Now this is a resource city. This is a city that is just there for res. So you worship Juno for the pop. Now your tax rate you can make higher. I just do 20% in this one for more pop. I do not have the hero to really maximize me upping tax so I take pop for now. Also some may tell you not to build an academy but I do for troops storage don't need academy for but it has Gastronomy which makes any troops you store here eat less.
You may also want to add a second warehouse. I would if you are the type of player that has limited time to play so you can have more res stack up for when you return. If you are on for hours in the day maybe not because they will probably not breach on you often since you are on playing a lot.
Back to taxes, some people will do tax according to idle pop. As I have 11k idle pop I could raise taxes till it goes away and lower once I need more to get max ses with max production. I just never mess with taxes much but smart idea as the 11k idle pop is just sitting there.
THANK YOU Fenix for the great tips!
