Using buy/sell on Market for Quick Trans

Preface:

Ever get tired of transporting 1 million or so res at a time
to someone one hour away, or even just between your own cities?

Players can use the market to transport large amounts of resources between each other without getting hit by the game's prestige difference mechanic.

Also, players can ask each other to help them transport a large amount of res from one of their cities to another. Keep reading to find out how.

1. Transporting Resources Between Players
(Credit: This wasn't my discovery, someone taught me how to do this
on one of my previous servers, but alas I forget who :/ )

Whether you're trying to avoid the prestige difference when transporting to someone else, or you want to give/receive a large amount of resources in a short amount of time, this strategy is very useful and normally pretty inexpensive if you have a few k sest to spare.

How it works: As shown in the pics below, one would place a Buy Bid if they wanted to receive resources from another player. This bid must outbid all the other prices in the bottom box of the market for the seller to be able to sell to the buyer. It's a good idea to outbid the highest buy price by about 0.0001 if possible (or just the lowest amount you can increase it by). The amount can be anything up to 200m res. Once bought, it takes 30 minutes to arrive at the buyer's cities no matter the distance, and it should only cost 20k-100k sest or so. Which is fantastic for the amount of res they're getting.

Also, if the buy prices are pretty high, find someone willing to "get rid" of those prices first by selling to them and making them disappear off the board so your transaction won't cost either of you as much.


2. Transporting Resources Between Your Cities

This is very useful for power farmers who farm in multiple cities. If you need to transport a large amount of resources from one of your farming cities to, per se, a city you were queuing up for an instant or what not...

Simply find another player with the same amount of resources you need to transport. Use the above mentioned method to sell them your resources from your farming city (important) and buy their resources from your target city (important). This allows them to keep their resources, and you to effectively get rid of extra resources in your farming city and have it on the way (30 mins trans of course) to the city you want it in.

Of course, you can always do it with a player who doesn't have the res too. This way is just faster. But if they don't have the res, simply wait for the resources to get to their city, then they can resell it to you.
