Through my Caesary gaming I've come across the term "dummy heroes" (thanks to Palehorseman on Gauls and Germans, you've taught me a lot!). A lot of you may not know what I'm talking about, or may have heard the term but unsure of how to use them.
~Normal Dummies include 1 hast (Hastatus) in each top slot, and one sagi (Sagittarius) in each bottom slot. More cmmonly shown as 1/1/1 hast 1/1/1 sagi.
-Having many dummy heroes readily available can solve any Physical problems you run into, especially with marauding wilds and attacking WSCs.
-Also, no need to level up these heroes as they aren't important. Higher level just means more of a retainer, so keep them at their current level.
~How this works is this: Let's use a level 4 wild as an example. Two defending heroes. So, you send one dummy hero. Click the place you just sent the hero to, and a big red Arena button should appear. Click it, and then Join Attacker (red side). Join the arena with a second dummy hero, then lastly the hero with your main army. What this does is it draws the fire of the two defending heroes to the two Dummies you sent, while your third hero and the army wipes out the defenders. For wilds with one hero, you send one dummy, or enough to wipe the army in one round.
**Please Note: For each level of wild, just assume that you also need an equal level of techs (Footpace, Security, Medicine, etc) for the attack to work properly. You can still do it without the techs but it helps greatly.

Also, there is a technique you can use to shorten the travel time of a far march. Use one of your dummy heroes to initiate the attack, only replace the hast and sagi with a single pony (the fastest troop unit in the game).
These are known as Escort Heroes and drastically speed up the time of your entire attack. However, the return time for each individual attacking hero varies.
I would not recommend this on marauding wilds EVER, only use this to attack other players
A Dummy Hero is a low level hero with a tiny amount of troops, sent ahead of the main army to reduce your total losses.
